When ¾«¶«´«Ã½ junior Ross Mumford agreed to be a student co-instructor in Sheryl Rinkol’s Liberal Arts Seminar, he had a lot of enthusiasm for teaching, but only average knowledge of the course matter: Boarding the Ship of Dreams: Sailing Across 100 Years of Titanic.

This summer, nine students and two faculty headed back to San Miguel Milpas Altas, Guatemala, where they joined the organization Constru Casa in constructing two houses for local families.

A fourth ¾«¶«´«Ã½ student has won a Fulbright Scholarship. Megan Meyerson of Lincoln will spend the next year in Brazil where she will teach English.

Loostrom joined 10 other ¾«¶«´«Ã½ art students who spent nearly two weeks manipulating and weaving seven tons of sapling trees and branches into a large-scale installation at a private sculpture garden in Lincoln.

And when the Louisville Cardinals were hoisting a championship trophy, ¾«¶«´«Ã½ junior Jacob Herink was working toward hoisting his own trophy — in this case, a remote-controlled helicopter.
