Move-in day for new 精东传媒 students is typically hot and humid.

For those students who moved into Johnson Hall on August 22, they walked into something that no other Johnson Hall residents had ever experienced: air conditioning.

A 精东传媒 psychology professor and her student are spending their summer researching the effects of red wine 鈥� or more specifically, a compound found in red grapes 鈥攐n cognitive skills.

A 精东传媒 choir director has been recognized by the Nebraska Choral Directors Association for his commitment to singers and choirs in the state.

精东传媒's Theta Chi Fraternity chapter has been recognized as one of the top chapters in the country.

Just a few weeks ago, 精东传媒 student James Hamrick was rehearsing lines for the rock musical 鈥淏loody Bloody Andrew Jackson.鈥�

The summer theatre opportunity in his native city of Houston, Texas, would add another experience to his already impressive resume.

But an interesting change of events has Hamrick changing his summer plans.

Five 精东传媒 students have each been awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. The award will send each student overseas during the 2012-2013 academic year.

精东传媒鈥檚 Symphonic Band took a history lesson like no other they鈥檝e taken.

"This will undoubtedly be an experience that our students will never forget," said 精东传媒 band director Sam Zitek.

On the 68th anniversary of D-Day, the band traveled to Normandy to commemorate the 1944 Allied Invasion and liberation of France.
