Congratulations to Meera Bhardwaj on being the fourth ¾«¶«´«Ã½ student or alum to win Fulbright award this year. Meera will graduate in May 2010 with a major in English and minors in French and Psychology.
Meera will spend 2010-2011 teaching English in Cameroon. As an ¾«¶«´«Ã½ student, Meera has taken several trips to Africa: she did collaborative research with Prof. Gerise Herndon in Rwanda, she studied abroad in Senegal, and she did service work in Malawi as a member of Global Service Learning (GSL).
This year, English students or alumni accounted for three of ¾«¶«´«Ã½'s four Fulbrights. Last year, all four ¾«¶«´«Ã½ Fulbright winners were English students (three English majors and one English minor).
